Off the Grid
This website contains information about 'Off the Grid' courses and resources for practical off-grid living. Off the grid courses are being designed to share information about living without mains services such as electricity, gas, water and sewage.
You might be interested in this for a variety of reasons such as:
- Taking responsibility for your own resources and 'waste' in a more environmentally responsible way than those provided by 'The Grid'.
- You may live in a remote location where mains services are not available or are too costly to install
- You may be on the move and not be able to make use of fixed mains services
- In order to prepare for an age where there is no more cheap oil and we have to provide these services for ourselves
Courses are run by Merlin Howse currently living off-grid at Steward Community Woodland.
